What can I say about Super G…it is an absolute playground for people who love food. If you need an ingredient to make any kind of food from anywhere around the world, this is your go to spot in Charlotte to find it, and usually at a great price. These are some of my favorite finds at Super G:

Fresh Herbs from around the world …keffir lime leaves, cilantro, thai basil..you name it is here.

Vegetables and fruit but not your typical go to ones…think: pomelo, enoki mushrooms, rambutan, passion fruit, purple potatoes, bok choi…

Fresh seafood, whole fish, oysters, shrimp, squid, octopus…they often take the fish right out of in store tanks and pack it in crushed ice to keep it fresh.

Aisles and aisles of food from all over the world…

A frozen food aisle full of heat and eat amazing food….Bibmibap from Korea, Bao Buns from China, Empanadas from Spain and so much more.

The people: Going to Super G feels like traveling. Here you’ll find people from all different countries and cultures shopping for what they love from home. You’ll hear different languages and blend in to a world beyond what you experience in Charlotte.

And a couple of great little restaurants to take food out or enjoy a quick meal inside. We lived in China and it is hard to find good Chinese food…the Bao Buns, the Beijing Style Noodles, Shumai dumplings filled with pork and shrimp ..all delicious. There is a Korean style restaurant and a bakery too. We always stop and have lunch and then do our shopping.
